PODCAST EPISODE TRANSCRIPT
Claudia: Hello lovely listeners and welcome to the Longevity & Lifestyle Podcast. I'm your host Claudia Von Boeselager. In today's episode, I'm bringing you more of my advice and tips for health optimization, longevity, and biohacking to help you reach your highest potential.
This is a particularly exciting episode on a topic I wanted to shed light on effecting half of the world's population, namely women. However, this episode is also for men as every man knows at least one woman who can benefit from this information too, from wives, girlfriends, mothers, sisters, daughters, and cousins, or colleagues.
This episode will, for many, uncover hidden superpowers women have - an entire hormonal system that men just don't have. It's about time we learned how to take advantage of this superpower. So please share this episode with your nearest and dearest to raise awareness and empower women, from all walks of life, to better understand their superpowers. Please enjoy.
We all know, male and female alike, women are complex creatures. While men maintain regular testosterone levels throughout the month with a 24-hour hormone cycle, women are essentially four different people over the course of a month with an approximate 28-day hormone cycle.
And this, dear friends, is her superpower - if understood and used effectively. More to come on this.
But first, taking a step back, let's take a look at why women are burning out. Did you know that scientific research has largely omitted women in clinical research, leaving women, not only misrepresented, but misunderstood and misguided too?
Why is this? Because women are considered a research limitation due to our complex bio-individuality. In 1977, the FDA actually went ahead and banned women of childbearing age from clinical research participation, as women were too risky and difficult. In 1993, activists overturned this ban, however the standards had been set to and, to this day, women are either underrepresented or excluded from clinical research altogether.
Over the course of a month, women are essentially four different people with differing needs. This is due to the biochemical, neurological, and physiological changes that occur in a woman's biorhythm. This means that, unlike men, trying to do the same routines every day during the month is not only counterproductive and can lead to burnout, but it's not conducive to harnessing the female superpowers available throughout themonth, be it in the workplace, at home, or in life in general.
A woman's uniqueness is her superpower. Know your female biorhythm.
What if you can plan your monthly schedules to match your energy, brain function, creativity, metabolism, and hormonal superpowers for each week of the month? What if unlocking this four-week puzzle is the key to thriving in your life, career, and health, allowing you to be at your best each day of the month?
What if you could unleash productivity and happiness by knowing when to project plan, execute, close a deal, or lead a team meeting, all while staying in peak creative flow? By tapping into your natural four superpower phases during the month, you could harness your capacity for decision-making emotional intelligence, cognitive empathy, while decreasing stress, getting more done, and enjoying living in your phenomenal human being. All backed by science.
You see, each of the four female buyer within phases have their own unique biochemical aspects with their own female superpowers. So knowing each and using them to your advantage is an untapped opportunity. The first phase is the menstruation phase, which brings with it calm, clarity and heightened, intuitive, insight. And is also when energy tends to be lowest.
This is the phase when your right and left brain are communicating much more powerfully across the Corpus Callosum, giving you more intuition and analytical reasoning. How can you apply this? Incorporate this by planning more downtime, to think, listen, evaluate and reflect. Be it a short walk, journaling, breathwork or an epsom salt bath.
This is the week of "me" time .Reflect on: How was your performance over the last month? What is working well for you and what is draining your energy? What would you like to be doing more of? What big changes might you need to make to reach your goals and dreams? What intentions do you have for the month ahead? Schedule time with your journal and listen to what your inner self has to tell you.
In Phase Two, the Follicular Phase, this is the phase best suited for creativity and strategic thinking. Rising estrogen and testosterone will bring a boost in energy and spring in your step and improved mood. You'll feel more motivated, full of optimism and ideas, and more assertive and willing to take risks.
So, how can you apply this? Use this phase to get curious and creative. Challenge yourself to learn something new. Use this time to think big. Mastermind how you will conquer the world.
This is a great time for brainstorming problem solving, project management, and strategizing. Use your superpower to speak up in meetings, join new social groups, and schedule time with friends. You'll also enjoy more challenging exercise in this phase two. So use it to condition the best version of you.
In Phase Three, the Ovulation Phase, this is the phase one, charisma, communication, confidence, and influence, shine. With estrogen and testosterone at peak levels, you may feel and look your best, your brain chemistry will give you a confidence boost, and make it easier to verbalize thoughts and feelings.
So, how can you apply this? This is a great time for public speaking, networking events, and even job interviews. This is the time to ask for that raise, plan to negotiate deals, work with your suppliers, as well as your sex drive being at its highest. You're looking and feeling your best, so flaunt it. Make sure to schedule a date night and use your high energy levels to enjoy lots of fun, physical activity.
The Fourth, Luteal, Phase, this is the phase when you are sharp and focused. A great phase for getting things done and the best time to make decisions. You will be at your most task orientated and get pleasure in completing tasks. And with increasing progesterone levels, you will likely find yourself starting to slow down as. The second half of this phase is when many women feel PMS symptoms. So the more self care you practice this week, the less likely you'll be to notice PMS symptoms.
Instead of going for carb-heavy food, plan ahead for healthy meals and restorative exercises like yoga classes, or having a massage or acupuncture to relieve stress. Also be cautious, at this time you may be more critical to yourself and potentially others. Know this, and have strategies in place to keep optimistic and happy.
So how can you apply all this? You can use this time to tackle "to do" lists, as well as the things you've been putting off. Now is a good time to make decisions.
Leverage your attention to detail abilities this week, bringing things to a completion and wrapping up projects and get your accounting done. Also, by honoring your body's innate need for more rest and relaxation, you enhance your superpowers not only for this week but the weeks to come. The body is infinitely wise, and if we learn to listen and harness it properly, you can start using your creativity cycle to your advantage. So get ready to become superhuman and optimize your health and your life. Plan out your phases and prioritize what projects and activities you will focus on ,when. And watch your superpowers unfold.
I would love to empower you, dear women, to unlock your female superpowers, and thrive in your life every day. And men, think of the benefits of helping the women around you thrive too. So go ahead and share this episode with all those who need to hear it.
